- What time do the yachts set sail and when do they return to port?
Competitors are divided into three fleets: Maxis, Moderns and Traditions.
Start times are staggered from 11am, depending on the weather.
Yachts generally leave the harbor around 9am to take part in the day’s regatta, and
return to port throughout the afternoon, with the first boats returning to
from 3pm.
The Race Committee decides on the courses and may postpone the time at which
boats are made available on the starting line, depending on weather conditions.
- Where can you see the race from?
A number of departures take place just outside Saint-Tropez and the Mole Jean Réveille, where the Village des Voiles is located. It is therefore possible to see the departures from land, as well as some of the
arrivals.
Beautiful views over the gulf are also accessible on foot or by car, from the Citadelle or the Chapelle Sainte-Anne.
- Can we board boats to follow the race?
Various service providers, on site or via internet sites, offer boarding at different
rates to follow the races.
An SNST partner, Les Bateaux Verts follows the racing yachts with a commentator on board.

A partner of the SNST for the Voiles de Saint-Tropez, the VOGAVECMOI.COM website is an exchange for
crew members, offering free advertising to people looking to embark and to boats looking for
crew members.
- What is the route taken by sailboats today?
The race committee decides each day, depending on the weather, which course will be chosen for each
fleet.
If the start areas are near or in front of Saint-Tropez, the courses may send the
competitors in the direction of Fréjus, as well as Cavalaire.
- Where can I park my car?
In Saint-Tropez, there are a number of pay parking lots accessible during the Voiles de Saint-Tropez,
such as the Parking du Nouveau Port, the Parking des Lices, the Parking de la Place du XVe corps or the
Parking Foch, as well as a number of spaces along the road with parking meters.
